Network Engineer

Network Engineer - US, Seattle - 6 Month Contract

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is recruiting for a Network Engineer to join their capital project in Seattle. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a Network Engineer to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe. As the Network Engineer you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,900m2.

What you’ll do:

• Multiple firewall cleanup and application of best practices
• Firewall consolidation / migration / refresh
• Migration of routing from L3 switches to firewalls
• Combination of internet services into SD-WAN
• IPsec client VPN build-out
• S2S VPN cleanup and high availability for critical services

What you’ll need:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
• Solid understanding of Aruba wireless and switching platforms
• Proficiency with: VLANs, routing (static dynamic), VPNs, DHCP, DNS, NTP, RADIUS/802.1X Network segmentation and zero‑trust principles
