EHS Specialist - Ireland, Wicklow - 6 Month Contract

Our client, a well-established global organisation in the life sciences sector, is hiring for a EHS Specialist to join their newly established team. This role lets you contribute to impactful projects that drive innovation in healthcare and animal wellbeing, while gaining experience with a company known for its scientific excellence and global reach.

What you’ll do:

• Provide day-to-day EHS support across all site operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate, GMP, and site-specific requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for EHS matters relating to API manufacturing, hazardous materials, ATEX-classified areas, and process safety.
• Conduct risk assessments and review operational procedures to ensure hazards are identified and appropriate controls are implemented.
• Oversee contractor safety management, including induction, permit-to-work compliance, competency verification, and performance auditing.

What you’ll need:

• Extensive EHS experience within Pharmaceutical, API, Biopharmaceutical, Chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting EHS programmes within operating manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge of contractor management, permit-to-work systems, incident investigation, and auditing.
• Experience working within ATEX-classified environments and hazardous chemical operations.
