Cost Controller - Madrid - 12 Months Initial Contract

Looking to take your career to the next level? We’re recruiting for a high-impact pharmaceutical project located near Madrid. With major capital investment experience driving various facility build projects. This is a unique opportunity for a Cost Controller to join a global leader in the life sciences market and play a key role in shaping the future of advanced manufacturing.

What you’ll do:

• Establish and maintain the project cost baseline (budget) in alignment with the approved AFE (Authorization for Expenditure)
• Monitor actual costs against budget and forecast, identifying variances and trends
• Prepare and issue regular cost reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM) indicators (ACWP, BCWP, BCWS, CPI, SPI)
• Develop, update, and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Manage and control commitments, purchase orders, and contract expenditures

What you’ll need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• High attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
