MEP Design Manager

MEP Design Manager – UK, London area – 6 Months Initial Contract 

Our client, a high performing Data Centre developer, is looking for the expertise of a contract Design Manager to help support on a brand new Data Centre project based in London.
They are a forward thinking operator who are AI focused and have huge plans to go over the next 10 years. They require MEP Design expertise for an initial term of 6 months, with the view to extend the contract for up to 2 years.

What you'll do:

• Provide design and engineering expertise and direction for projects from the development stage (RIBA stage 0) to customer occupation (RIBA stage 6).
• Prepare weekly reports for projects or workstreams detailing progress, challenges and successes to the Design and Engineering Director.
• The design manager shall be the lead authority for the external technical teams working on a project, ensuring the Basis of Design or project brief are incorporated.

What you'll need:

• Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or relevant Engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in data centre engineering or a similar role in mission-critical environments (e.g., hospitals, telecom).
• Proven track record for designing and overseeing the construction of data centre or mission critical infrastructure.
• To be available to start within the next 1 month.
