Senior Project Engineer - NGB1 – US, Virginia – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Virginia, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer - NGB1 to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What you’ll deliver:

• Provide owner-side project engineering support for the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned scopes within the NGB1 greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Independently manage assigned engineering and construction work packages, ensuring deliverables, schedules, costs, and execution requirements are properly coordinated.
• Review engineering drawings, design packages, technical specifications, and construction documentation to identify design gaps, discrepancies, constructability concerns, and potential execution risks.
• Coordinate directly with Jacobs Engineering, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and internal client stakeholders to ensure engineering deliverables support construction execution requirements.

What you’ll need:

• Significant experience in project engineering, construction engineering, project management, or a comparable technical role supporting large-scale industrial capital projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, construction execution, and project delivery processes.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage assigned project scopes, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and drive deliverables.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, including the ability to review construction schedules, identify dependencies, and understand potential schedule impacts.
• Practical experience with project cost management, cost tracking, change management, and evaluating financial impacts of project decisions.
