We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Project Controls Director to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.
What you’ll do:
- Establish and implement the overall project controls framework, including cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, governance, and performance management processes.
- Develop mechanisms to track project costs, including commitments, actuals, monthly cash flow forecasts, change management, risk management, project savings against budget estimates, and internal cost transfers.
- Work closely with the Project Management Team to confirm and validate the overall project budget through detailed cost analysis.
- Develop and implement integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS development, logic ties, and resource-loaded schedules aligned with project deliverables.
What you’ll need:
- Take full ownership of the project budget and ensure compliance with internal processes and industry best practices for cost control and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain detailed project forecasts, incorporating commitments, actual spend, and projected cash flow. Utilize SAP and internal systems to extract and analyze cost data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
- Define and manage the project’s earned value framework, establishing clear measurement of planned versus actual performance. Provide accurate visibility of where the project should be versus where it is, using earned value principles to drive insights and corrective actions.
- Utilize corporate engineering templates (Excel-based) and/or develop enhanced reporting tools to maintain detailed forecasts, including commitments, actuals, and cash flow projections.
