HSE Safety Contractor – Start-Up & C&Q - US, Ohio  12 Month Contract

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a HSE Safety Contractor to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.

What you’ll do:

• Provide field-based safety oversight during commissioning, system testing, start-up, and C&Q execution.
• Verify compliance with OSHA standards, client HSE standards, permit requirements, site-specific health and safety programs, and contractor HSE requirements.
• Support high-risk activities including electrical energization, LOTO initiation, confined space entries, vessel commissioning/cleaning, hot work, welding, elevated work, scaffolding, fall protection, and qualification walks.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve emerging safety risks before they become OSHA recordables, LIFE events, serious injuries, or regulatory findings.

What you’ll need:

• Extensive safety experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial manufacturing, construction, commissioning, or start-up environments.
• Demonstrated OSHA-regulated safety program implementation experience.
• Strong field experience with LOTO/control of hazardous energy, confined space, electrical safety/NFPA 70E, fall protection, hot work, PPE, and contractor safety.
• Experience conducting inspections, JHAs, pre-task reviews, field observations, and compliance verification.
• Incident/deviation investigation and root cause analysis experience.
