External Information Solutions Lead - UK - Pharma - 12-month contract

We are looking for an experienced External Information Solutions Lead for a fantastic 12-month contract based in Slough, UK. 

You will be working with our client who are a global biopharmaceutical organisation committed to improving the lives of people afflicted with neurological and immunological disease.

What you'll do: 
  • Define and evolve the vision for the data marketplace to support research and business goals.
  • Drive enterprise-wide data initiatives using principles like data mesh and data as a product.
  • Ensure creation of high-quality, reusable datasets that are discoverable and compliant.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve data access and interoperability.
  • Partner with business and scientific teams to understand workflows and data needs.
  • Deliver intuitive access to internal and external data sources.
  • Represent the data marketplace through presentations, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion data quality and interoperability for advanced analytics and AI.
  • Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to optimize data for intelligent systems.
  • Align with governance teams on metadata standards, data models, and onboarding materials.
Responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of data lifecycle, metadata, ontologies, and scientific information systems.
  • Experience with FAIR principles and semantic technologies for structured scientific data.
  • Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and best practices for scientific information systems.
  • Awareness of agentic AI, LLMs, and their impact on scientific data platforms.
  • Ability to assess and integrate innovative tools into data ecosystems.
  • Collaborative leadership style with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
