Discipline Lead (Process) - Prague, Czech Republic - 12 Month ContractOne of our Heavy Lift clients looking to add to their team in the European market. With this in mind, we are interested in speaking to anyone who has experience as a Discipline Lead for our role based in Prague.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development, coordination, and technical assurance of all process engineering design documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements, industry standards, and stage‑gate deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Czech regulatory frameworks, including applicable ČSN standards, EU directives, safety and environmental regulations, and permitting requirements related to process equipment, hazardous materials, and operational safety.
- Coordinate process interfaces across all engineering disciplines (MEP, CSA, automation, utilities, operations), ensuring clear design inputs, resolving inconsistencies, and maintaining a fully integrated process design.
- Drive process safety and operability reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, and risk mitigation planning, ensuring design decisions reflect local legislation and best‑practice engineering.
What you'll need:
- Degree‑qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline, with extensive experience on complex industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or energy CAPEX projects.
- Strong understanding of Czech regulatory expectations related to process systems, safety documentation, hazardous substances, environmental permitting, and compliance with ČSN and EU process safety standards.
- Proven leadership in process design development, including mass/energy balance creation, PFD/P&ID development, equipment specification, and oversight of vendor and EPC design packages.
- Experience conducting formal process safety reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL), with the ability to ensure documentation meets both international and Czech regulatory standards.
