Discipline Lead

Discipline Lead (MEP) - Prague, Czech Republic - 12 Month Contract

One of our Heavy Lift clients looking to add to their team in the European market. With this in mind, we are interested in speaking to anyone who has experience as a Discipline Lead for our role based in Prague.

What you'll do:

• Lead and coordinate the development, review, and integration of all MEP design documentation, ensuring completeness, technical accuracy, constructability, and alignment with overall project requirements and stage‑gate deliverables.
• Ensure full compliance with Czech building regulations, technical standards (ČSN), energy efficiency requirements, fire safety codes, and permitting documentation expectations, engaging with local authorities and specialist consultants as needed.
• Manage interfaces between MEP disciplines and other design streams (architecture, structural, process/industrial, civil, utilities), resolving clashes, validating assumptions, and driving design consistency across all project packages.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout design development, including design risk reviews, value engineering, design assurance, and close collaboration with EPC contractors and local design institutes to ensure regulatory alignment and timely approvals.

What you'll need:

• Degree‑qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, with extensive experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, or large‑scale CAPEX projects.
• Strong knowledge of Czech building codes, ČSN technical standards, fire safety regulations, and permitting requirements (including coordination with local design institutes / projektant and authorities).
• Demonstrated experience leading MEP design development, including multidisciplinary coordination, design assurance, stage‑gate deliverables, and managing external engineering partners or EPC contractors.
