Design Manager - Germany, Frankfurt - 12 Month Contract

This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre operator that has been recognised for as one of fastest growing and well-known groups in the industry.

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and require the expertise of a Design Manager. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor to their development to their client's requirements.  

What you'll do:
  • Lead the full design lifecycle, ensuring design packages, standards and specifications meet strategic objectives and technical requirements.
  • Oversee procurement and vendor selection, guiding regional project leads and driving value engineering.
  • Manage cross‑functional design coordination, integrating all design changes and ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and risk mitigation through on‑site inspections, lessons‑learned processes, and technical oversight.
What you'll need:
  • Extensive experience in data centre design management or equivalent engineering leadership roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of critical cooling and power infrastructure within data centre environments.
  • Familiarity with European construction markets, building codes, and fire ordinances.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, building services engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
