What is your role and why did you join QCS Staffing?

After finishing university, I was working with an agency to explore potential career options, and that’s when the opportunity at QCS Staffing was introduced to me. At the time, I had just completed my degree in Politics and International Relations and had no experience in recruitment, but I did know that I enjoyed speaking with people and building connections, which gave me a good foundation to get started.

Since joining, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my career here at QCS and progress through several roles. I started out as a Trainee Delivery Executive and over the years, have worked my way up to Senior Principal Delivery Executive. My role has always remained strongly candidate-focused, which is something I really enjoy. I spend my time identifying the right people for our opportunities and supporting them throughout each stage of the recruitment process.

Even after 15 years, I still get a great deal of satisfaction out of building relationships and understanding what drives each individual. Being able to support people in taking the next step in their career and knowing I’ve played a part in that journey is something that continues to motivate me.

‘Over the past 15 years, Kat has been a highly valued and trusted member of the delivery team, playing an important role in the wider success of QCS. She brings a level of reliability and professionalism that means she can always be depended upon to deliver, without fuss and to an exceptionally high standard. Her impact extends well beyond the team, with clients and candidates alike benefiting from her measured, thoughtful approach and the strong relationships she has built over time.

Finally, a massive thank you to Kat for your service and look forward to many more successful years ahead.’ – Andrew Pieri

What do you love most about your job?

In my role as Senior Principal Delivery Executive, I take a huge amount of pride in supporting major construction projects that sit at the heart of the industry. A big part of what I enjoy is building strong, lasting relationships with candidates and really taking the time to understand what matters to them in their careers. Being involved throughout the entire journey, guiding them through each stage and seeing them settle into a role where they feel genuinely happy and valued, is incredibly rewarding.

What makes the role even more meaningful is knowing that the work we do has a real impact. Supporting candidates in finding the right path and playing a part in the successful delivery of large-scale projects gives a strong sense of purpose to what I do day to day.

I also value the culture here at QCS. The team is supportive, approachable and always willing to help one another, which creates an environment where you feel encouraged to do your best work and enjoy the process along the way.

‘Huge congratulations on 15 years at Q Kat! What an amazing milestone! You are a highly valued and respected member of the team, and I have been lucky enough to work alongside you for a number of years. Your knowledge, steady approach and willingness to help others always made a difference, and I am sure will continue to do so! Congrats again, and I look forward to working with you for more years to com!’ – Kiran

‘Having known Kat for 12 years, I’ve seen the consistency and quiet impact she brings but also the person behind it all.  She is genuinely one of the loveliest people to work with – always approachable, positive and caring. Kat has built a reputation that people trust - living our values, supporting colleagues, building strong relationships and quietly making a difference every single day.

It’s been a pleasure to share so much of that journey with her.

Congratulations Kat on such a well-deserved milestone and thank you for everything you bring to the team.’ – Virginie

What is your proudest moment at QCS Staffing?

Starting out with little to no experience can feel challenging, especially when you’re learning not only a new role but also getting to grips with the life sciences industry as a whole. My advice would be to take the time to build your understanding by doing your own research, while also learning from the knowledge and experience of your colleagues around you.

Being open-minded, proactive, and willing to learn will make a huge difference. When you show enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, it doesn’t go unnoticed. People recognise those who are committed and ready to put the effort in.

QCS offers a wide range of opportunities at every stage of your career, so make the most of them. Say yes to new challenges, push yourself outside your comfort zone, and always give your best.

‘Kat consistently going above and beyond in everything she does. Her collaborative mindset truly reflects our ‘One Team’ value, she’s always willing to support her fellow team members and work together to achieve the best outcomes. I especially appreciate how, when I’m on annual leave, or tied up, she’ll step in without hesitation, picking things up and getting them done with no fuss. Nothing is ever too much to ask, and her thorough, detail-oriented approach makes a real difference. On top of that, she’s an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you for everything you bring to the team Kat!’ – Hannah

Over the past 15 years, I’ve had continuous opportunities to develop my skills and grow within my role, which has kept my career both engaging and rewarding. The variety and progression have played a big part in keeping things fresh and motivating over the years. Alongside this, the culture at QCS and the strong relationships I’ve built with colleagues have made it a place I genuinely enjoy being part of. It’s a supportive and positive environment, and that sense of belonging has been a key reason for staying with the business long term.

I am really grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing company like QCS! Over the past 15 years, I have learnt a lot from my colleagues and managers, and their guidance has helped me grow both professionally and personally.

I am truly thankful for the opportunities, experiences, and continuous learning this workplace has provided me…. and I look forward to what the future has in store!
