Senior Design Engineer - Portugal - 12 Months Initial Contract

Are you based in Portugal, looking for your next long-term contract? We are recruiting for a superb opportunity on behalf of our client, an international contract development and manufacturing organisation who help bring new and off-patent drugs to market. With a track record of over 60 years delivering advanced technologies, this organisation flies in the face of difficulty, giving their customers a service and product that cannot be found elsewhere.

This role is based in Nazare and is advertised on a contractual basis of 12 months.

What you'll do:

• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for process, mechanical, and utilities systems.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and technical specifications.
• Support development of URS, FS, and design documentation.
• Work closely with construction, CQV, QA, EHS, and production stakeholders.

What you'll need:

• Engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, or related).
• Extensive experience in pharma/biotech/chemical engineering design.
• Strong background in GMP facility design and clean utilities (WFI, clean steam, HVAC, compressed air)
• Experience with 3D modelling tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Plant3D).
