Mechanical Design Engineer – Amsterdam - Permanent – Data Centres

As they continue to grow, they’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team based near Amsterdam. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional in the data centre sector to advance their career within a globally recognised environment.

What you’ll do:

• Working alongside electrical engineers, IT infrastructure teams etc to develop practical cooling solutions for high-density computing environments.
• Develop and review mechanical designs for new data centres, expansions and upgrades.
• Produce and assess cooling calculations, equipment specifications, schematics, layouts and design documentation.
• Evaluate cooling systems, including chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, air-handling equipment and associated pipework.
• Support the integration of liquid cooling.

 What you’ll need:

• A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing mechanical systems for data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling systems, heat transfer, fluid distribution and equipment selection.
• Experience preparing or reviewing engineering calculations, technical specifications and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with mechanical controls and Building Management System interfaces.
