Commissioning Field Engineer – US, Idaho – Initial 12-Month Contract – Data Centres

As one of largest and most established general contractors in the Pacific Northwest, they are seeking a Commissioning Field Engineer to support their large scale project based in Idaho. 

What you’ll deliver:

• Execute commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems on a large-scale semiconductor manufacturing facility, ensuring systems are tested, verified, and handed over safely.
• Perform field inspections, troubleshooting, and functional testing to validate installation quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical issues and maintain commissioning schedules.
• Support commissioning documentation, including test scripts, deficiency tracking, progress reporting, and turnover packages.

Experience required:

• Experience in commissioning, start-up, testing, or field engineering within data centres, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning methodologies, and safe work practices on live construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment and support multiple stakeholders.
