This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for the construction phase of GFD projects. Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational qualification.
- Constructability Review – Provide input into construction plans on and offsite to ensure safe construction methodologies that accelerate overall project
- Maintain benchmarks across multiple projects with regard to project construction cost metrics
- Ensure turnover systems from construction contractors are well aligned with CQ and understood and communicated to key client stakeholders
- Construction Management Monitoring – Supervise project Construction Management (CM) teams, ensuring adherence to schedule management, installation metrics, quality standards, safety compliance, and turnover alignment.
- Set-up of potential client side construction team – conduct risk assessment considering complexity of activities and capabilities of our partner CM.
- Schedule Development – Collaborate with EPC / Design Companies to provide essential input for the development of integrated L2/L3 schedules across various work fronts
- Assisting with Planning Acceleration – Identify areas that can be redesigned or replanned to avoid delays and speed up progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in fields related to construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Significant experience in managing construction projects, preferably including large-scale projects in the healthcare or biotechnology sector.
- Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with constructing or managing facilities for biotechnology or pharmaceutical purposes, particularly gene therapy, would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
