QCS Staffing recruits Data Centre Design professionals across hyperscale, colocation and edge data centre developments, from Electrical Design Engineers producing HV/LV single line diagrams, UPS and switchgear specifications at £55,000 to Mechanical Design Engineers developing chilled water and cooling systems to defined PUE targets and Design Managers coordinating full MEP packages to Tier III and Tier IV Uptime Institute specification at £95,000+, across permanent and contract positions in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The roles we handle require specific sector knowledge: hands-on electrical or mechanical design experience in a data centre environment, familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier specification, N+1 and 2N redundancy architecture and PUE-driven plant selection, and in many cases active experience taking a data centre design package from concept through to IFC on a live hyperscale or colocation programme. If you have produced MEP design on a data centre development, we know which developers and EPC contractors are currently mobilising design teams for new campus programmes, which are mid-design and need experienced engineers to accelerate specific packages to IFC, and which specialist consultancies are scaling permanent headcount as project pipelines extend into 2027.
