Quantity Surveyor - Ohio - 12-month contract - Pharmaceuticals

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.


What you’ll do:

• Manage commercial performance and cost control for designated work packages.
• Verify contractor progress and quantities to support accurate payment assessments.
• Review and negotiate change requests, providing clear recommendations.
• Prepare cost reports, cash‑flow forecasts and variance updates.
• Collaborate with procurement and project controls to align budgets, contracts and schedules.
• Identify and support value‑engineering opportunities.
• Maintain clear commercial records to support issue or dispute resolution.
• Work closely with technical and site teams to track scope, schedule and cost impacts.
• Act as a commercial partner to the project team, ensuring contractual obligations and project objectives are met.

What you’ll need:

• Degree in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in cost and commercial management on major capital projects.
• Strong background in field verification of contractor progress and cost assessments.
• Experience within complex or highly regulated industrial environments.
• Proven negotiation skills with contractors and delivery partners.
• Proficient in cost management and reporting tools, including major ERP and data platforms.
• Able to produce accurate commercial documentation in fast‑paced project environments.
