Mechanical Project Manager - France, Paris - Contract

Our client is a provider of essential infrastructure. They own, develop and manage high quality, sustainable logistics properties and data centres in major global cities, that are critical to the digital economy.

As providers of essential infrastructure for the digital economy, our client has been developing its data centre capability since 2005. Since then, they have grown to become a large owner of powered sites globally.

Responsibilities:
  • The Mechanical Project Manager has overall responsibility, for the management of all aspects of the mechanical package.
  • This includes contractor design, procurement, contract governance, pre-construction, mobilisation, commercial aspects and delivery through to hand over with a defect free ambition.
  • They are to lead a safety-first culture as a priority, in all aspects of the mechanical package management process whilst working close with the Project Lead. He/she must ensure that our client’s safety standards are applied in order to achieve the objective of zero accidents on their projects.
  • They will operate in close consultation with the necessary stakeholders and departments, both internally and externally acting as a key interface for respective package or discipline.
  • Oversee and support design, procurement, overall package management, QAQC, commissioning, team collaboration & communication, reporting and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in delivering general contractor or developer roles on large scale projects (ideally data centres). Experience in managing complex projects would be a plus.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget with exemplary safety, quality, and sustainability records.
  • Strong leadership, and decision-making skills as well as excellent communication abilities.
  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Applicable Safety for Managers training.
