Cost/Risk Controller - US, North Carolina - 12 Month Contract

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented Cost/Risk Controller to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.

What you'll do:
  • Support project cost control activities across large scale capital projects, ensuring alignment with the organization’s project delivery framework and governance standards.
  • Partner closely with A/E firms, construction managers, CQV teams, OEM vendors, and trade contractors to ensure cost control practices are consistent across all project partners.
  • Assist in procurement and sourcing workflows, performing budget validations prior to issuing purchase orders, contract awards, and change directives.
  • Support bid evaluations by collaborating with estimating teams, validating quantities, reviewing contractor proposals, and participating in value engineering sessions to optimize project cost and scope.
What you'll need:
  • Extensive experience in project controls within a construction, engineering, or manufacturing environment; experience with large-scale pharmaceutical capital projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with contractor valuations, subcontractor accounts, and contract variations/change management.
  • Understanding of construction methods, technical documentation, and project specifications.
  • Experience working cross functionally in a fast paced, highly regulated environment.
