To support our client’s continued growth, they are currently looking to hire a  Structured Cabling Design Engineer in Amsterdam.
 
What you’ll do:

• Design and plan Structured Cabling Systems (SCS) for data center facilities.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including diagrams, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Perform calculations for capacity, throughput, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Utilize design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other specialized CAD software.
• Collaborate and coordinate with engineers from related disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.

What you’ll need:

• Extensive experience in a similar position within data centers or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of SCS design principles: copper and fiber optic lines, cross-connects, patch panels, and active equipment.
• Knowledge of industry standards.
• Proven experience in SCS projects from concept through implementation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, draw.io or similar design/visualization tools.
