Senior Design Engineer - Portugal, Lisbon - 12 Months Initial Contract

We are recruiting for a superb opportunity on behalf of our client, an international contract development and manufacturing organisation who help bring new and off-patent drugs to market. With a track record of over 60 years delivering advanced technologies, this organisation flies in the face of difficulty, giving their customers a service and product that cannot be found elsewhere.

The role of Senior Design Engineer will be of key importance in delivering a manufacturing presence and supply chain to the local market on behalf of our client. This role is based in Portugal and is advertised on a contractual basis of 12 months.

What you'll do:

• Lead project planning and scheduling across multiple engineering workstreams  
• Manage portfolio level coordination, ensuring alignment of timelines and dependencies  
• Track project progress, risks, and deliver structured updates to stakeholders  
• Support governance processes and adapt plans based on changing project priorities  

What you'll need:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar discipline)
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical engineering design
• Strong experience within GMP regulated environments and facility or equipment design
• Proven involvement in URS, HAZOP, CQV and clean utilities systems (WFI, HVAC, etc.)
