Project Manager – US, New York – Initial 3-Month Contract – Life Sciences

The USA is a hive of activity for the Life Sciences Sector at present with global players setting up new and expanding existing manufacturing facilities all over the World. An exciting assignment has arisen to support a global pharmaceutical organisation on a major expansion project based in the picturesque New York, on an initial 3 month contract. 

What you’ll deliver:
  • This role is focused on maintaining continuity for an active project rather than initiating a new programme. The selected Senior Project Manager will assume ownership of an established project, taking responsibility for its ongoing delivery and providing dedicated owner's representative coverage for an initial three-month term, with the possibility of extension up to six months.
  • The assigned Senior Project Manager must have direct experience managing projects through both the design and construction phases of projects up to $30MM, including ownership of the project schedule and budget, and management of the permitting process.
  • Reporting to an Associate Director or higher, the Senior Project Manager (SPM) provides senior level leadership in planning, budgeting, and overall management of major capital projects and initiatives from conceptualization through design, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close out.
Experience required:
  • Major Research Project, Green Field Design and Construction experience preferred
  • Experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the company in order to establish credibility with professionals on the project teams.
  • Thorough understanding of construction techniques.
  • Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise
