Process SME (OSD/Tablet Pressing) - Remote in UK or Ireland - 12 Month Contract

Our client is currently seeking the skills of a Process SME to join their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!

What you'll do:

• Lead tablet pressing technology selection, including capacity calculations, compression process modelling, and preliminary sizing of tablet presses and associated equipment
• Ensure User Requirement Specifications (URS) for tablet compression and coating equipment are developed with high technical accuracy, aligned to GMP calibration and qualification requirements
• Lead process risk assessments for tablet pressing operations, ensuring robust control of critical process parameters (e.g. compression force, dwell time) to meet product quality standards
• Support procurement and supplier management for tablet press and coating equipment, including vendor selection, technical bid evaluations, and supplier qualification

What you'll need:

• Strong understanding and/or hands-on experience with tablet pressing and coating processes
• Solid technical knowledge of core OSD unit operations
• A natural communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
• Proven experience in the specification, procurement, installation, start-up, and commissioning of GMP equipment
