Process Maintenance Tech (Process Equipment) – US, North Carolina – Initial 6-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Process Maintenance Tech to support the delivery of their large-scale CAPEX project based near North Carolina. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.
 
What you'll do:
  • Performs mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to all plant equipment and systems (e.g., pumps, valves, agitators, fans, bearings, couplings, belt drivers, mechanical seals, hoists, hydraulics, pneumatics, on-off actuators, diaphragms, filters, fasteners, etc.)
  • Performs simple to moderate (and advanced, as needed) mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for autoclaves, glasswashers, clean-in-place (CIP) systems, homogenizers, centrifuges, fermenters, chromatography columns, LPC skids, and vessels
  • Issues hot work and confined space entry permits
  • Supports analysis of equipment breakdown (failure analysis) to determine root cause and provides input to help eliminate future breakdowns
What you'll need:
  • Knowledge of plant equipment and systems
  • Ability to operate components and complete system maintenance with assistance
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use root cause failure analysis tools for equipment reliability
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements
