Mechanical Turnover Engineer – South-East Ireland – Initial 4-5 Months Contract – Life Sciences

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor specialising in complex pharmaceutical projects. With an expanding project portfolio and a reputation for delivering high-quality work in regulated environments, they offer contractors the opportunity to join experienced project teams and contribute to high-profile programmes across Ireland. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Turnover Engineer to support their current project.

What you’ll deliver:
  • Manage the mechanical completion and turnover of assigned systems and subsystems on a large-scale pharmaceutical project.
  • Conduct line walks, P&ID walkdowns and punch list management activities to support system readiness.
  • Compile and manage turnover dossiers, test packs and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing activities and closeout actions with construction, engineering and QA/QC teams.
  • Verify mechanical installation records, pressure testing documentation and system completion status prior to handover.
Key requirements:
  • Extensive experience within Mechanical Turnover, Mechanical Completion or Mechanical QA/QC on pharmaceutical projects.
  • Strong contractor-side background working for mechanical or piping contractors rather than solely client-side organisations.
  • Proven experience with test packs, turnover dossiers, system handover and completion activities.
  • Hands-on experience conducting P&ID walkdowns, line walking, punch list management and field verification activities.
  • Ability to compile pressure test packs and manage mechanical completion documentation from construction through to final handover.
