Line Support Engineer

Line Support Engineer - Life Sciences - Cork, Ireland 

Our client is a leading multinational medical technology company based near Cork, specialising in the design, manufacture, and distribution of innovative healthcare devices and surgical products. What you'll do:

• Provide frontline technical support to packaging lines to maximise machine uptime, minimise downtime, and ensure consistent production output.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and mechanical issues in real-time, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead and support process improvement projects within the packaging department to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Support the installation, qualification, and validation of new or modified packaging equipment, including preparation of associated documentation.

What you'll need: 

• Level 8 Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a line support or maintenance engineering role.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with packaging or high-speed automation equipment.
