EHS Engineer – Sligo, Ireland – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Located near Sligo, our global pharmaceutical client is seeking a EHS Engineer to support their state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility. What you’ll deliver:

• Provide Engineering services to the plant, in order to maximise the availability of all Site Process Equipment and Utilities.
• Manage capital engineering projects within site following the Project Lifecycle approach (typical project value range: anything up to €5 million).
• Support the engineering teams in controlling uptime of process equipment and optimizing efficiencies both in equipment and process performance.
• Support the Engineering team with the emphasis on continual operational improvements.
• Provide process engineering support and technical trouble shooting within the site.

Experience required:

• Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, equipment layouts, GA drawings, electrical/single-line drawings and mechanical drawings.
• Process Safety & Technical Risk Assessment
• Significant EHS experience supporting capital projects, shutdowns/turnarounds, plant modifications and contractor-intensive work.
• Technically strong in RAMS review, Permit-to-Work, LOTO, line breaking, confined space, work at height, lifting operations and hot work.
• Able to work directly with engineering, construction management, vendors and contractors and challenge the technical adequacy of controls.
