Construction Safety Manager

Construction Safety Manager - US, Chicago - 12 Month Contract

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company manufacturing plasma-derived, and recombination therapeutic products, who in turn deliver high-quality medicines that treat people with rare and serious diseases, and we are now searching on an exclusive basis with the client to appoint a Construction Safety Manager to join their busy and rewarding team on a contractual basis for a period of 12 months.

What you'll do:

• Lead site-wide construction safety strategy and compliance.
• Oversee and audit contractor EHS performance.
• Review and approve contractor safety plans and mobilisation documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, LOTO, energy isolation and safe systems of work. 

What you'll need:

• Degree preferred (Engineering Degree as a Minimum)
• Extensive construction safety experience.
• Major pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences or highly regulated industrial project experience.
• Previous owner-side or owner's representative experience.
• Experience overseeing EPCs, construction managers and multiple contractors.
