Application Support Technician

Application Support Technician – Valencia, Spain – Initial 6-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking an Application Support Technician to join them as a contractor, with the option to work fully remote or onsite within the charming region of Valencia. Starting at an initial 6 month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.

What you’ll deliver:

• Provide support and maintenance of various applications and tools, resolving Tier 2 issues and escalating as required
• Database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases
• Assist in application structural changes required during system upgrades
• Help with application-related queries from end users in remote locations

Key requirements:

• Experience in application maintenance and general IT support focusing on Microsoft Windows server, SQL Server databases and .NET applications.
• Good w knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows/Linux environment
• Fluent English skills (both written and verbal).
• Ideally working knowledge of MySQL, RedHat Linux server, and Drupal applications, Active Directory Architecture, AWS and Azure
