Systems Administrator - Netherlands, Amsterdam - Permanent Contract 

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our DCIT (Data Centre Information Technology) Team. As a System Admin, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our servers, storage and vitalisation infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain vitalisation environments using Proxmox.
  • Deploy, configure, and monitor storage solutions with Dell, Seagate and Synology.
  • Implement and manage monitoring solutions with Zabbix to ensure system health and performance.
  • Ensure endpoint security and protection using CrowdStrike.
  • Centralise and manage logs with Centralised Logging Tools for effective system auditing and troubleshooting.
  • Support and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and optimised.
  • Perform routine system audits, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement best practices for system administration.
  • Respond to system outages and provide timely support to resolve issues.
  • Manage Backup and Restore Activities with Veeam or similar.
 Requirements:
  • Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.
  • Experience with Proxmox, and/or VMWare ESx, VSphere etc
  • Competence in managing centralised log systems like Graylog, SumoLogic, etc…
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, etc…) are a plus.
