Senior Structural Engineer - Data Centres - Permanent - Netherlands

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Senior Structural Engineer for their Netherlands location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

Responsibilities: 
  • Handling and working out technical questions from our clients in cooperation with the Consulting Engineer;
  • Communicating and collaborating with colleagues and third parties on (part of) the structural design;
  • Ensuring, from a technical and budgetary point of view, that your own processes and activities run in accordance with the established principles and within the quality system. You also consult internally on this;
  • Checking calculations and drawings of colleagues or third parties;
  • Supervising your own project administration and archiving project documents.
Requirements: 
  • Graduate in Structural or Civil Engineering, with a specialisation in structures or structural design;
  • Relevant experience at a consultancy or engineering firm and experience using calculation programmes;
  • Willingness to work abroad for short or longer periods of time by mutual agreement;
  • Customer focus, empathy and the ability to transfer technical knowledge and professionalism to others;
  • Strong analytical skills, result orientation, problem-solving ability, independence, and excellent communication skills with good command of the Dutch language.
