Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) / Senior Design Engineer 

We have an exciting job opportunity for a Design Manager to join our client, one of Europe’s leading engineering experts and partner to the data centre, commercial, high-tech healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors.

With projects in development spanning 14 EMEA countries, this organisation provides bespoke sustainable Mechanical and Electrical solutions to each of their mission critical projects, and to this date has provided services to 45 data centres around the world.

With their technological innovation and commitment to delivering the most energy efficient building solutions, this is an incredibly exciting organisation to join.

 
Your key day-to-day activities:
  • Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
  • Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
  • Produce detailed schematics
  • Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation
  • Mentor junior engineering staff
  • Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
  • Tender report/analysis/recommendations
  • Develop project scope with the design team/client
  • Confidently use Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT


Experience Required:
  • Honours Degree – Chartered an advantage but not essential
  • 10+ years as a Senior Engineer
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
  • Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
  • Working knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantage
  • Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completion
  • Communicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
  • Manage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projects
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
