Senior Building Engineer - Data Centre Project - Nijmegen, Netherlands

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Senior Building Engineer for their Netherlands location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.


Role overview:

What you do as a Senior Building Engineer - You are a committed Building Engineer who enjoys working on complex projects. In the global leading market, mission critical facilities, our client focuses mainly on data centres. Projects normally range from building inspections, all phases in design & engineering to coordination in the implementation phases on the construction site.

What they are looking for:

• A passion for detailing, knowledge of building regulations and knowing what quality needs to be delivered at each design stage are essential
• Knowledge of Dutch building regulations is self-evident
• Experience in producing all necessary documents for the application for an environmental permit or tender is a must
• A senior building engineer with at least 12 years of relevant work experience and a completed degree in building engineering (WO/ HBO).
• Someone with an enterprising, proactive and flexible attitude as well as experience with projects in execution, affinity with sustainability, utility and industrial construction and experience in BIM projects working in Revit and BIM360 (Revisto is a bonus)
• The candidate is also used to persevering and making well-founded choices. In addition, the candidate has the following skills:
• Able to prepare required technical documents and specifications
• Knowledge of building (technology/ engineering) methodologies, building materials, building regulations and detailing
• Experience with and in applications for environmental permits
• Ability to draw up tender documents
• Good communication skills and command of the Dutch and English languages
