SCADA Developer - Remote/Germany - 6-12-Months

We are currently working with a leading data centre owner operator that are undertaking a multitude of projects globally. They are currently expanding their automation teams and are currently looking for a SCADA Developer.


Duties
  • Collaborate with members of the Design, Engineering, and Construction team during projects, as well as members of the Operations Engineering team, and Site Operations team for sustaining existing automation architecture
  • Work with leading edge automation systems from large scale industrial controls vendors
  • Coordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission critical control systems
  • Examine project documents, including Sequences of Operation, Bill of Materials, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and project schedules when developing automation logic and visualisation applications
  • Question the status quo, and think outside of the box to build ultra-reliable, ultra-efficient data center automation systems
  • Support in the design of Controls Architecture Documents to include Networking Topology & IP Scheme for new data centers
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent work experience is preferred but not required
  • Industrial automation system commissioning experience is required
  • Data Centre experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Skilled at developing automation control logic from scratch, and performing full scale integration and testing
  • Knowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc.) in a mission critical environment
  • Experience with industry leading software platforms for SCADA systems is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of industrial PLC systems manufactured by leading edge, large-scale vendors
  • Experience with Ignition Automation/Allen Bradley or Rockwell Automation Studio 5000
