Risk Manager - US, Ohio - 12 Months Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Extensive experience in risk management on large-scale capital projects ($250M+).
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential – must understand regulatory, quality, and technical constraints unique to pharma.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls (cost & schedule) and how risk impacts both.
  • Proven ability to lead meetings, facilitate input, and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Track mitigation strategies, assigned owners, due dates, and status updates for each active risk.
  • Work closely with cost and schedule teams to ensure risks are incorporated into cost forecasts, schedule contingencies, and scenario planning.
  • Contribute to the refinement of risk processes and templates where needed.
  • Depending on workload, support related project control functions such as change management tracking, project reporting, or dashboard development.
  • Experience working with EPCM partners and large, matrixed project teams.
 Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with EPCM partners and large, matrixed project teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Foundry or similar risk platforms is a plus.
