Project Technical Manager - Life Science - Maryland - 24-Month Contract

Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth, they are looking for a Project Technical Manager to help support operations at their Maryland facility.

With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!

Responsibilities: 

As the Project Technical Manager, you will establish a project’s technical direction and be accountable for the delivery of the GMP compliance, functionality and robust performance of the technical packages (e.g. process, automation, critical utilities, HVAC). In doing that, facilitating the project’s adherence to the clients Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) requirements.

Requirements: 

• Master of Science or Bachelor in Science or equivalent.  
• 7-10 years of experience from major capital projects (> USD 5 m), capital and/or complex projects
• Relevant strategic, technical and leadership expertise with a background in biologics manufacturing preferred.
• Very good communication, stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills
• Can use lean design processes and their application
• Honesty, openness, respect and integrity are expected in all interactions.
• Developing relationships and gaining credibility with your User team , Stakeholders and Suppliers are key to establishing an effective project delivery team.
• Ability to present a robust technical proposal, listen to other perspectives, and reach a decision in the best interests of the project and the business as a whole.
• An innovative thinker, with a desire to continuously improve equipment and processes, embracing new technology and learning from experience.
• A detail-focused completer/finisher with a results-orientated mindset.
• Strong leadership qualities with motivational ability to direct others in a dynamic and complex environment through change.
