Project Control Lead - France, Paris - 18 Month Contract

Our global client with manufacturing facilities in Southern Ireland, is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing programme. This state-of-the-art facility houses high-technology and next-generation processes to produce OTC and Oral Care Products that are distributed throughout the Globe. As such, they are looking for a Project Control Lead to join their Paris based project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Status / summary reports on progress to be written when requested
  • Work to be carried out within the program scope(s) and agreed budget
  • Project Governance
  • Project Controls management
  • Strategic optimisation at program and project management level
  • Consulting on matters of strategic influence
  • Consulting in respect to corporate direction of capital investment
  • Cost estimating using extensive own bench marking data
  • Selection of subcontractors
  • Negotiations with subcontractors
  • Consulting to procurement
  • General trouble shooting
  • Selection of subcontractors
  • Negotiations with subcontractors
  • Review of new project funding
  • Claims negotiations
  • Change control
Desirable Experience:
  • Requires extensive years of working experience as a Project Controls professional on large construction programs.
  • Experience setting and leading project controls teams.
  • Significant experience and strong problem-solving skills in project & program management.
  • Good understanding and experience with industry best practices for project management capital delivery processes and scheduling.  These attributes include an overall basic understanding of contracts and contracting, procurement, project forecasting and development and budget management, change order management, and risk management.
