Capex Project Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager  to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire design-build process, managing the design-build firm and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP standards throughout the design and construction of the warehouse.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between design-build teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead risk management efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to the quality and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Provide regular project updates and performance reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in capital project management, with specific experience in managing GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical facility projects.
  • Proven experience overseeing design-build projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP compliance, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects valued at over $100 million on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and external contractors.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a focus on cost control and scheduling.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
