Project Engineer (Parts Washers) – Contract – Hertfordshire

Our client is recruiting for a Project Engineer (Parts Washers) who have a proven track record of project matrix organisation to deliver complex projects. 

As Project Engineer, you will lead the delivery of the Parts Washer system on a substantial capital investment project at one of their campuses, based in Hertfordshire, UK. Reporting into the Process Equipment Lead, you will also be responsible for the delivery of the Parts Washer system on a pharmaceutical product manufacturing expansion project.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Deliver the operational building Parts Washer system to the appropriate standard and timing.
• Liaise with construction and process equipment teams to ensure scope interfaces are managed.
• Complete design approvals working with subject matter experts to review and approve prior to construction.
• Support partners with the delivery of their scopes of works, including sharing system information, access to site interfaces and input into project changes, events, and risk.
• Create, track, manage, and complete engineering change controls in relation to the utilities and facilities.
• Arrange, lead and conduct factory acceptance testing for relevant equipment.
• Manage and develop the commissioning strategy to deliver the utilities and facility, enabling validation to commencement.
• Support and manage the validation effort to ensure the Parts Washer is qualified and approved in line with overall plan.
• Manage validation, engineering, and technician resource to ensure all commission and validation testing is execute and witness in line with client standards.
• Liaise with the operational business to define and arrange training and operational handover deliverables.

Project Engineer Education and Experience:

• 10 years’ experience within similar projects.
• Experience of delivering projects within oral solid does environments and/or delivery of Parts Washer system projects or working to deliver this package as part of a larger expansion programme.
• Experience of conducting factory acceptance tests, generating/reviewing URS’s and conducting commissioning and validation activities.
• Must have experience of working from design through to final hand over, engaging with stakeholders/ user groups/ procurement/ suppliers.
• Experience of delivering diverse projects within a dynamic project environment.
• Experience of overseeing a similar project with a spend of circa £1 million.
