Project Documentation Controller - US, North Carolina - 12 Month Contract

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented Project Documentation Controller to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Project Document Controller is responsible for day to day Engineering document management activities in a paperless environment. This candidate must have strong equipment experience and the ability to identify equipment by the tag number.
  • Additionally, they need to have drawing knowledge skills and can distinguish the different types of drawings by discipline. Process incoming and outgoing documents including receipt, classification, registry, distribution, archiving, storage and retrieval.
  • Create transmittals and issue to EP & CM. Interface with EP & CM Doc Controllers to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Develop knowledge and understand project management principles, quality systems, quality plan and working procedures. Implement elements of project management and quality within the scope of the project document control department.
  • Full understanding of engineering and documentation change management.
  • Advanced excel skills a plus (ability to create complex reports)
  • Front-line enforcement of approved document control procedures across the project organization and interface with other project participants and team members. 
 Requirements:
  • Extensive Project Document Control experience, preferably on large scale Biotech projects
  • Work with all departments and with all levels of the organization, and with contract vendors engaged in design and construction.
  • Work closely with other departments and building leads, ensuring streamlined document control for all buildings.
