Programme Manager/Engineering SME - Belgium - 12 Months 

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a Programme Manager/Engineering SME  to join their team. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Oversee engineering for a variety of projects including possible new buildings, new lines, equipment upgrades etc.
  • Essentially in the first instance they will be running the concept design and managing the Engineering firm appoint as the “Client Representative”
  • Ensuring the third party engineering contractor are delivering on time, in budget
  • Primary escalation point/focal point for the Engineering contractor
  • Ensuring that interests are protected and delivered upon
  • Overseeing Engineering/concept Design for multiple projects in excess of €30mn up to and above €70mn
Desirable Experience:
  • Extensive experience overseeing Engineering for Life Science projects
  • Pharma background required – fill/finish would be a bonus though
  • Experience overseeing the various stages of design particularly concept design
  • Strong stakeholder management skill-set; this individual will work directly with the Site Integration lead but also provide reports/updates for corporate functions
  • Demonstrable track record managing internal and external Engineering teams to deliver on time and in scope
  • Solid understanding of the phase-gate process (G1-G3)
  • Fluent English language skills
  • French language skills – desirable
