Responsibilities:
- Understanding Business requirements and needs of all stakeholders and translate them in concrete actions
- Manage time effectively, plan and prioritise in order to achieve the goals
- Lead the change management process. Use ethical persuasion to convince all stakeholders and to remove the barriers to change
- Monitor and report on project progress, identify and resolve issues as they arise. Identify lead-time constraints, and take corrective action to remedy any issues with project delivery. Ensure risk mitigation
- Manage procurement activities for logistics providers, negotiate contracts and rates with vendors and service providers
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a project
- Perform quality assurance checks on all logistics-related activities
- Actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for the Contractors sub-category, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels
- Master degree (economics, sciences, …) required with a focus in logistics, supply chain, compliance and/or transportation preferred
- 8+ years of working as a Procurement Manager
- Proven project management experience is required
- Proven experience in directing and strengthening logistic processes and procedure
- Experience working for a large, diverse multinational is preferred
- Experience working in at least an international environment is required
