Materials Science Technical Specialist - Cork, Ireland - 12 Months Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility in Cork. You will be joining a leading Biopharmaceutical company who focus on a range of products which are life-changing for individuals.

Our client is currently seeking a Materials Science Technical Specialist

Responsibilities include:
  • This role sits within a global team and will play a key role in supporting both small-scale and commercial manufacturing activities through material selection, testing, and implementation, with a particular focus on single-use technologies.
  • Support both NPI (New Product Introduction) and tech transfer projects
  • You will also be responsible for Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including owning and closing out quality records. Experience with systems like Veeva is a strong advantage.
  • This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Development Labs, and other cross-functional teams to support new material introduction and integration into manufacturing processes as well as retiring outdated materials no longer in use.
  • Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle including overseeing project milestones and communicating progress and status of projects clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders and leadership team.
Requirements:
  • Strong manufacturing background, preferably within a biotech industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) (e.g., Veeva, TrackWise).
  • Expertise in Single-Use Technology (SUT) and related manufacturing components.
  • Project management experience, including coordination across departments and stakeholders
