Maintenance Planner - Biotechnology - Waterford - 6-Month Contract

Our client, a globally recognised pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of Maintenance Planner. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. Responsibilities:
 
  • To support and guide the team in the effective maintenance and continuous improvements of production, utility (Clean and Black) equipment/systems and site facilities.
  • To support and guide the team in the development of new and update to existing SOPs & Work Instructions.
  • Develop close relationships with the team members through regular one-to-one meetings and effective performance management.
  • To lead the Daily Tier 1 meetings, prioritise activities and report up to the Tier 2 daily meeting.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements as leader of the team within or outside the department in order to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support Project delivery as needed through procedure development, FAT, SAT and validation of production and utility equipment/systems.
  • Act as a gatekeeper during project gate reviews to ensure the handover of drawings and documents reflect the final As-Built state.
  • Ensure new assets are registered on the site CMMS system (PEMAC) and integrated into the Asset Care Schedule of PM and Calibration Routines.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Min Level 7 Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience within the Pharma, Biopharma sector or Med Device.
  • 3 – 5 Years in a coordinator role.
  • Experience working in a cGMP/FDA/HPRA-regulated environment is essential as well as hands-on experience in maintaining production and utility equipment/systems.
  • Trades qualification an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Automation and Electrical Systems an advantage.
  • Project management experience and/or certification an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanour.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
