Lead Civil Engineer - Netherlands -Permanent

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Lead Civil Engineer for their Netherlands location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and communicating with engineers from the various design-relevant disciplines (architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction, and fire safety) and also directly with the client
  • Design and modeling of civil engineering components, above ground and underground
  • Reviewing produced documents from colleagues and thus design quality assurance
  • Sharing civil engineering experience and thus securing it with colleagues
  • Providing design optimisation proposals and thus an active “drive” from your field of expertise
Requirements:
  • Experience in utility and industrial construction for civil projects
  • Proficiency in BIM projects, with focus on Revit and BIM360; experience with Revizto is a plus. Proficiency in Autocad and familiarity with Office and Sharepoint
  • In-depth knowledge of underground (sewerage, electricity, data, water collection) and above-ground infrastructure (site development, paving, roads, parking lots)
  • Competencies to prepare tender documents, experience with projects in progress, proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, you are stress-resistant, have an affinity with sustainability, and have a 'put your shoulders to the wheel' mentality
