HVAC SME - France, Toulouse - 12 Month Contract

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is recruiting for a HVAC SME to join their capital project in Toulouse. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a HVAC SME to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe. As the HVAC SME you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,900m2.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead HVAC design review for GMP and non-GMP buildings, including drawings, specs, and equipment data.
  • Oversee systems: AHUs, chillers, LPHW, steam humidification, clean rooms, cold storage, glycol, cooling towers, and compressed air.
  • Develop mechanical and HVAC bid packages; advise A&E and CM teams on content and site-specific needs.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of A&E and bid package documents.
  • Support pre-bid meetings, evaluate bids, and update project team on progress.
  • Define and implement HVAC control strategy; lead overall mechanical design.
  • Review HVAC vendor packages across all facility types.
  • Act as design consultant to ensure alignment with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering partners to optimise cost and schedule.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a related field 
  • Experience in HVAC engineering within new build and retrofit projects
  • Background in HVAC / Mechanical implementation / retrofit
  • Experience in other large scale pharma/ biotech projects is beneficial
