HSE Advisor  - Ohio - 12 months with planned extensions

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine safety inspections to ensure project activities adhere to safety standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and protocols.
  • Own root cause investigations for safety-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
  • Plan and coordinate emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all safety events and activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management, addressing safety concerns from the floor.
  • Manage safety resources, ensuring necessary equipment is available and properly maintained.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working directly on the owner/client side of a capital project
  • Experience in construction safety with specific expertise in: Lockout/tagout (LOTO), pre-start up safety review (PSSR), live equipment safety, hazard communication, personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection, confined space safety
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proactive in identifying potential hazards and implementing safety solutions.
  • Experience with large capital projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical or bio-tech industry.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.
