Responsibilities:
- Compliance Management: Ensure that all import and export processes comply with local and international customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements
- Trade Data Analytics: Derived from data analytics monitor trends and patterns in trade activities and customs compliance and use these results for process optimisation and development
- Project support: Being involved in projects in the activity area, provide process expertise support
- Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks within the daily operations workflows and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
- Document management: Collect and analyse all existing trade compliance process documentation and come-up, configure and structure a document management system as standard solution
- Workflow Analysis: Analysing, mapping and documenting processes. Identify areas for enhancement, optimisation and automation.
- Technology support: Support digitisation initiatives with process design and development
- SME: Act as a Subject Matter Expert, provide best practices and innovative solutions in software and operative solutions
- Bring Alignment with key stakeholders in BU’s on the process landscape
Requirements:
- Master degree (economics, sciences, …) or equivalent by experience
- High level of understanding of logistics processes is a nice to have
- Substantial professional experience in Customs (>5 years) and preferably in Export Control too
- Experience working for a large, diverse multinational company is preferred
- Deep understanding and knowledge of business and process needs
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process design, optimisation, efficiency programs and project management.
- Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Sound IT knowledge and affinity. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
- Able to manage cultural differences
