This is a fantastic opportunity for a Electrical Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Maryland, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the electrical design and installation processes for the pharmaceutical API manufacturing campus.
- Manage and supervise the implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
- Work closely with the Project Lead to align electrical activities with overall project goals and objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets, for the electrical components of the project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and construction teams, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of medium voltage cabling and fiber optic cabling, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Select and manage contractors and vendors involved in the electrical aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues related to electrical installations as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates and reports on electrical project status to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing complex electrical projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, or chemical industries.
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing electrical design and installations on large-scale capital investment projects.
- Experience working with medium voltage cabling and fiber optic cabling is required.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to electrical installations in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
